Je Suis Prest Boutique teamed up with two local uptown shops to produce a beautiful holiday party with a twist. The Urban Glam party showcased both stores’ new holiday wear under the roof of Saint John Theatre Company’s great space Uptown!
Pretty items donated from some of the stores’ suppliers were available to bid on in a silent auction. Je Suis Prest Boutique had lovely bags, sweaters and a coat up for grabs.
Proceeds from the event went to truly worthy, and local cause: The Coverdale Centre for Women. This centre is a drop-in centre for women in Saint John that also provides shelter and case management services to assist in addictions, mental health issues, employment and affordable housing.
The Urban Glam party also featured eye-catching party decor, customized graffiti art, a speciality candy cane drink, delicious desserts from Bourbon Quarter, and an amazing $500 giveaway.
The highlight of the night was definitely seeing the beautiful holiday dresses, glamourous hair, and glittery make-up! Hair was styled by Adam Donnelly of Hairacy’s ( located on the 3rd floor of Brunswick Square). One by one, the models hit the electric pink outlined runway in on-trend, eye catching frocks with power heels to boot. The models would spray silly string all over the Charlie Brown Christmas tree, strike a pose, and return down the hallway for their next look. There were a lot of metallics, lace, feminine fabrics and my personal favourite: sequins!
